What we collect, why, and what we do with it. In plain English, because there isn't much to it.
Edge Property Maintenance is a property maintenance business based in Redditch, Worcestershire. We are the "data controller" for any personal information you give us, which means we're responsible for looking after it. You can contact us about anything in this notice at services@edgepropertymaintenance.co.uk.
We ask for your name, phone number, email address, the property address and a description of the job. You can also attach photos of the job, which helps us quote. We use this to reply to you, work out a quote and, if you go ahead, to do the work. We can't quote without it, so we treat it as necessary to take the steps you've asked for before entering a contract.
The form is sent straight from our website to our own email inbox. No third-party form service handles it. We don't record your IP address or anything else about your device.
We'll have whatever you send us, plus your phone number or email address. We use it for the same purpose: to answer you and, if you become a customer, to arrange and carry out the work. WhatsApp is run by Meta and has its own privacy policy that applies to messages sent through it.
We keep your contact details, property address, quotes, invoices and any photos we've taken of the work. We need these to do the job, to send you an invoice, and to keep the records the law requires us to keep for tax purposes. We may also use them to remind you when a repeat treatment or gutter clear is due, which you can ask us to stop at any time.
Nothing. The site doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. The fonts, images and code are all served from our own web hosting, so your visit isn't reported to Google or anyone else. Our hosting provider, Fasthosts, keeps standard server logs for security, as all web hosts do.
Nobody, apart from the people and services we need to run the business: our email provider, our accountant, and our insurer if there's ever a claim. We don't sell or pass on your details for marketing, and we don't use them to advertise to you elsewhere.
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we don't have a legal reason to keep it. You can also object to us contacting you about repeat work. Just email us and we'll sort it, usually within a few days and always within a month.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd rather you told us first so we can put it right.
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
